Your safety and happiness are my priority

BRAMPTON - Gurpartap Singh Toor, candidate for Regional Councillor for Brampton Wards 9 & 10, made the following statement regarding today's important municipal election:

"Over the last several months, I've spoken to thousands of residents and they all say they no longer feel safe in our city.  We have a Regional Councillor right now that has been silent on this issue for 8 years. During that time crime in Brampton has gone up. Today, voters have the power to send a strong message.
Residents have been asking for a police station in wards 9 & 10. But what we got instead is a pit stop with an expensive kitchenette. We need a real community police station that is staffed full-time by officers.

Speeding is also a real problem in Brampton. Every day we’re seeing and hearing about vehicle accidents. Meanwhile, your Regional Councillor has chosen not to show up to work.

Together, we can change that.

When I worked in the Mayor's Office from 2014 to 2018, we established Brampton’s first ever Community Safety and Well-Being program. I know firsthand how we can work with our police services, the Region of Peel, and all levels of government to get the job done.

We all know everyone is talking about crime, but the first step to tackling crime is to elect people that aren’t burdened by criminal accusations.

In the last 4 years your Regional Councillor, Gurpreet Dhillon, has likely spent more time fighting in the courts than attending important council meetings.

Distractions don’t get you results.

When elected, my first priority will be your safety and happiness.

I’m the only candidate that can defeat the current councillor and put your needs back on the table.

Today, please vote Gurpartap Singh Toor for Regional Councillor in Brampton wards 9 & 10.
