Toor casts his vote for Regional Councillor in Brampton, urges people to vote early

BRAMPTON - Earlier today Gurpartap Singh Toor, candidate for Regional Councillor in Brampton Wards 9 & 10 visited Gore Meadows Community Centre along with his wife, Harleen, to vote in the advance polls. It was an exciting moment for Toor who is on the ballot in Brampton for the first time.

"I've knocked on thousands of doors and the response has been incredible. I'm really humbled and excited to cast my ballot today along with my wife who has been by my side helping to lead our campaign from day one. I urge all voters to come out and vote for your future in a city that works for you and is safe for women."

Toor has been leading the awareness campaign to voters urging them to vote early since this years' municipal election date falls on Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas. He's authored an op-ed in the Toronto Star, appeared on radio and tv news media to encourage everyone to take advantage of advance voting days.

"Brampton has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons - from failed lawsuits, harassment claims, development and projects being stalled. There's been too many lost opportunities for our City and right now voters have the power to change that. The incumbent Regional Councillor in Wards 9 and 10 has a habit of not showing up to work. Voters can now show him what it means to show up and choose better for their future."

Advance voting in wards 9 and 10 is available this weekend, October 8 and 9th at Gore Meadows Community Centre. Voters will also have a chance to vote early in the wards on October 14 and 15th at Gore Meadows Community Centre and Save Max Sports Centre. Election day is October 24th.
